A Darwin Harbour marine debris clean-up is being held at various locations around Darwin Harbour on Tuesday July 13, 2010. The event is bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to collect and record marine debris at targeted locations around the harbour, providing a snapshot of problem areas and improving public awareness about the sources and impacts of marine debris.
Land-based clean-up activities will be occurring along the Rapid Creek/Nightcliff foreshore and on Cox Peninsula. Water-based activities will be occurring at hotspots identified by pre-survey work by Larrakia Marine Rangers.
